I struggle with Christmas clutter yet again. Maybe with the downturn in the economy, it will be a chance to focus more on relationships and less on stuff this year. In practical application, what do those good intentions mean? Are you having any success downsizing childrens' Christmas expectations?
We purchased used ski equipment for the family this year from Craigslist. We outfitted three of us for less than it would cost to buy new for one of us. My daughters understand that is the bulk of their Christmas gift for this year and they are happy with it. I think they are fine with it because skiing is something we enjoy doing as a family.
